1) Trimming & Cutting Instagram Reels
To get started, open up the Instagram app on your phone and head to the Reels tab. From here, hit the + icon in the center of the screen to start creating a new Reel.
Once you’ve recorded or uploaded your video, it’s time to start editing! The first thing you might want to do is trim down your video to get rid of any excess footage.
To do this, simply drag either end of the video timeline inwards until you’ve trimmed off everything you don’t want. You can also split your video into multiple clips by tapping on the scissors icon, then moving the yellow dots to where you want to split the video.
2) Adding Text Overlays to Instagram Reels
The next step in editing your Instagram Reel is to add some text overlays. This is a great way to add some extra context or highlight a specific detail in your video.
To do this, tap on the "Aa" icon at the top of the screen. From here, you can type out whatever text you want to appear on the screen. You can also change the font, color, and position of your text by tapping on the Format icon (the paintbrush).
3) Adding Trending Background Music to Instagram Reels
Adding trending background music is one of the best ways to make your Instagram Reels more engaging and exciting. In addition, using trending audio greatly increases the likelihood of your post going viral.
First, tap on the Music icon at the top of the screen. From here, you can browse through Instagram’s extensive library of songs, or search for a specific track. Once you’ve found a song you like, you can preview it by tapping on the play button.
When you’re happy with your choice, tap on the Add to video button. You can then use the slider at the bottom of the screen to choose how long you want the music to play for.
4) Making Your Own Stickers for Instagram Reels
Adding stickers is another great way to make your Instagram Reels more engaging and exciting. And, if you can’t find a sticker that quite fits what you’re looking for, you can always make your own!
To do this, tap on the Sticker icon at the top of the screen. From here, select the Create option. You can then use the drawing tools to create whatever design you want. Once you’re happy with your creation, tap on the Add to video button.
5) Using Hashtags on Instagram Reels
If you want your Instagram Reels to be seen by more people, then you need to start using hashtags. This is a great way to get your content in front of people who might be interested in what you have to offer.
To do this, simply add a hashtag to your Reel by tapping on the Hashtag icon at the top of the screen. From here, you can type out whatever hashtags you want to use. Make sure to use relevant, popular hashtags that will reach your target audience.
By following these simple tips, you’ll be well on your way to creating amazing Instagram Reels that get results!
